Thank you for all the advice which rather confirms my thinking.He really is a saint of a pony and not very strong, but child is very slight and very determined and brakes work most of the time,particularly on the arena,but he takes alittle more stopping in an open situation.

Thanks for your interest, pony is 11 hand section a and very well behaved but not a slug. Child needs a bit more control when riding outside.

have a super new pony for very lightweight 7 year old granddaughter, whose ability is not up to her ambition.Needs a little more control so thought a hanging cheek snaffle would help. Any advice?
