Don't worry, I won't. I can understand bandaging and I know how tight everything should be etc, but I just wasn't sure what would happen if you didn't do it right, I was never told :)
Thanks for the help.
Hey
I know this is a really stupid question but what is the danger to the horse if a tail or leg bandage is put on with wrinkles pressing into the leg or dock?
I know it can cause a pressure point, but that will happen then (appart from it becoming uncomftable for the horse)
Thanks :)
Mine are quite a pain to give it to. I just squirt in into their feed and mix it with some extra garlic or molasis to hide the smell, they eat it just the trick :) Though, if you're worried your horse still might not eat it then you could feed it over two or three feeds so it's a smaller amount :)
I guess that making a fuss would work. My break wasn't too bad though, it was pretty clean. Thanks though, I'll bear in mind that you have to be fussy with the NHS for future breaks ;)
Yeah, that's what I thought. But then, I was told that the NHS are so short of money, they don't bother sending people for physio as much as before. I don't know how acurate that is though.
but thank you for the advice, I have started doing some gentle excersice over the last week or so. If it...
Yeah, I think my only problem is I havn't told any one it hurts, my parents haven't asked so I left it be, thinking would go away. Telling them might be a problem, haha.
Thanks for that guys :) It's good to know that this is pretty normal, I was beginning to worry that I'd damaged my shoulder blade aswel or something. The hospitals where I live are pretty rubbish so I didn't want to bother going back to ask the doctor as I'd have to wait weeks for an opointment...
Okay, so I broke my collar bone about five months ago. It's still got a lump which is fine but I thought the pain would be gone by now.
It's only when I do a lot of work, either leading horses in a lesson at the stables, or walking, biking, riding and just general stable work, my shoulder and...
I don't really enjoy riding in the rain. Mainly because I can only hack around my area and when the weather ie wet there arn't any places to go faster than a walk, I just sit there freezing and I know my horse would rather be tucked away in his shelter.
I tend to groom, teach him tricks, clean...
Nope not really. I'm 15 and I'm home schooled, so even though I have a few non horsey friend but I don't see them much, if ever I go shopping it's with other horsey people...I just don't have time to party inbetween horses and helping at the local riding school and studying XD But it's good...
I know of a Fjord on the Isle of Skye, quite a trip but she is an amazing pony, bomb proof as anything, hacks alone and with other horses, loves human company. £2000 tack and rugs inc and about 14 hh.
Well I don't have a pony with a locking stifle but there are two at my yard. One of them isn't used at the moment but the other is, if he isn't used and kept moving then he starts to lock. If i were you I'd keep doing what you're doing, if the pony isn't really really bad and is walking ok then...
