    Eland Lodge Adult Camp

This looks interesting! The website says suits all abilities, would a 40 something novice on a numpty cob be out of place? We are having lessons and due to start jumping this week for the first time in 20 years!

    Riding school comments

Can you book a private lesson with the instructor you like? If one to one is too expensive, do you have one or two friends at a similar level who could share the lesson?

    Guilty

Speaking as a mum, I would rather my kids did something like clean the kitchen and make me a cup of tea without being asked, than buy me an expensive present!

Can anyone recommend me a saddler (£1k budget)

I used Clive Whereatt from Chipping Sodbury. I'm not sure how far he travels but he came to us near Newport, South Wales. We were happy with his service, we bought a synthetic saddle for my daughter's pony but he does have a good range of brands and makes his own too.

Buying a horse with passport "in the post"

OK, thanks for the replies! I really don't want to lose this horse, so maybe we can offer a deposit to secure him until the passport turns up. The people seem lovely and genuine and he appears to have been much loved (was a teenager's first horse now going to Uni) but I suppose that's no...

After some searching, my husband and I have found a horse he really likes, we have arranged a vetting for tomorrow but the owner has told us she sent the passport off to have the address updated several weeks ago and it is not back yet. We were really hoping to get him straight away if the...
