I’ve been looking for a while, they are few and far between. I’d say at least £15k at the moment.

The market when restrictions are lifted?

I think it will be largely unaffected. I’ve been looking for a while now and there are lots of wanted ads and horses being brought unseen. Prices do not seem to have dropped either. Whether this changes in the longer term I’m not sure, only time will tell.

No need to respond just venting

Don’t lose hope, small steps! Is there someone that can walk with you to where you are meeting your friends? I totally understand where you are coming from, I am my biggest doubter! I’m sure you wouldn’t be doing your role if you couldn’t, they chose you. We all have ups and downs, have a...

Buying horses for a new mummy

I’ve been looking for the same thing for a while now, I just want an allrounder sports cob! My search is on hold as house renovations have taking over my life, but I’ll probably go down the latter option.. buy a youngster and send to a good professional. temperament is key, and with a good...

How to stop horse holding head so high

    - How old is she? - Why did the previous owners have her in a running martingale? - Is she in the same tack that you bought her with? Seems like a pain reaction, I wouldn’t suggest forcing her head down with a gadget, but perhaps lots of long/low work, stretching and a good instructor. A...

    Working from Home

I wasn’t an advocate of working from home when my company changed its policy. I felt isolated, missed casual chats with colleagues (which really does help build rapport) and I kept getting lumbered with more work as I kept going in whilst everyone was at home. Now, I work from home 3-4 days...

    Where are they!

Thanks Asha! I’ll reach out to this dealer. I think the second phase of my search if I can’t find anything in the UK, is to pop over to Ireland. But my golly, that 3 year old is quite lovely!

    Where are they!

    Where are they!

Thanks for the responses all! I hadn’t considered the pre-loved site before, but I will add that to my stalking list. The ‘Dodgy Dealers’ group on Facebook has been useful thus far! Pippity - I could stretch down to 15.1, but I’m quite leggy (5’8), though not as tall as your...

    Where are they!

Hello all! I’m looking to buy my next horse.. but seriously, where are all the super cobs?! If you have a fabulous cob type, I would love to know how you met so that I can make sure I’ve covered all areas 😊 the market really seems to be lacking and I don’t think I’m asking for to...

    Compact camera recommendations

I'm off on a riding holiday next week but think its time to upgrade my camera! I'm no budding photographer but I do like a good picture :) has anyone got any recommendations for compact cameras capturing the action? There's quite a few on the market but thought I'd see if I can get any...

    Securing lower leg...

Thanks a lot guys, shortening the stirrups and staying up for a long time is a good one :) may have to invest in some Mary DVD's. Let's hope for a better position soon :) xx

    Securing lower leg...

Hi all, Does anyone have any tips or exercises I can do to relax and make my lower leg secure whilst using stirrups? Sold my horse a year ago and had a break, now back on the lunge going over the basics. Im now finding it easier riding without stirrups-rise/trot fine, canter fine. Bring...
