    Saddle recommendations for cob

Ok thanks. I am planning to stick with a leather saddle for showing/dressage but will bear treeless in mind if no joy fitting anything else to him.

    Saddle recommendations for cob

Hello, It's been a while since I posted in the forum. I have very kindly been given a 5 year old coloured cob, standing at 15.1hh. He's going to have a few months off as he needs to fill out and mature. He's a beautiful boy and I hope to attempt some showing with him next year and dressage. I...

    Howick & Larkhill BEs

Best way to get across Severn Bridge in a lorry at car rate is to put curtains in the living window!! We recently purchased a lorry and the woman told me thats why she had curtains in there - not just to look chintzy!!

Manufacturer/Supplier of Chunky Rubber for School Surface?

Belvoir Rubber at Staunton, nr Newark sell a decent chunky rubber. I think they call it strip rubber - I have some samples from them as I'm waiting to move then putting in a manege. They are extremely friendly and helpful!

    Almost took a flying lesson.....

My daughters pony has just turned 4 and when she was cantering him started to hump his back, buck or kick out. I tried everything and had everything checked. Discussed with many a pony club instructor and the general consensus was he was just being awkward........then a friend of mine tucked up...

    Shires Optimus Event Saddles

I was considering one of these but to be honest I went for a Wintec Close Contact as I want something I know I can trust. I am replacing the Bates GP I use on her but couldn't really afford to go for a Bates close contact - I already use a Bates CC on my other horse and find the saddles so...

    Magnetic Boots for Windgalls?

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of using these successfully or not? I am just about to get my mare back I sold a couple of years ago who has windgalls on her hinds and was considering purchasing boots just before I sold her. She's coming home at the weekend and hasn't been too well...

    Those who event with cobs?

You look very similar to a girl who featured in Your Horse a little while ago - having a XC lesson and had the same stamina problems!! I would say that in your piccy he is probably carrying a little too much weight and you need to get out and canter canter canter. Find hills and go for it!! The...

PM details to me too - I am fed up of near misses too - especially out with my daughter. A huge Biffa lorry nearly cleared us up the other day...........soooo scary

well its not bucking rearing or bolting but what is it!?!?

My horse did something my friends described as 'pig rooting' when I first had him where I could feel his back come up underneath me then he would almost feel like bucking but would pull down on the bit and hop forward. It really un-nerved me to begin with and he did eventually buck off said...

    People with horses and children!

I bought my daughter a pony and now we hack out together! It's not been easy, my daughter is my no 1, but now I can combine the two it's great! Our neddies adore each other too so it's easy. I also have a very supportive hubby who is never even more suffering as I've become a pony club mum too!!
