Mark Todd turnouts and stable rugs fit my broad chested boy well. Also, just bought a 80g JHL turnout which I'm really pleased with so far given its reasonable price.
I find that Mark Todd turnout and stable rugs fit well on my broad shouldered Irish cob. However, the fly rug was way too tight and I felt like I was putting him in a straight jacket! The Amigo bugrug XL is a better fit for a fly rug but still not perfect.
Don't worry too much about buying expensive gear for your first test. As mentioned a second hand jacket would be fine. As long as you are both clean and tidy then a judge should be more interested in the actual test. My friend recently won her first intro test wearing a black v-neck jumper! Her...
I soak in apple cider vinegar twice a week and apply Red Horse Artimud a couple of times a week as well. His frogs are finally starting to look better :)
I gently scrub mine in the bath using cool soapy water and work in some hair conditioner. I then put it in the machine. I don't think a wool wash is designed for dirty horse numnahs!.Hence they don't always wash up as well as expected. My machine also really struggles to spin them.

From what I can remember, my 4.75 inch bow balance and system 4 stirrups were both marked with 122mm and this measurement was also on the boxes. As you say this size is recommended for ladies and I don't know how much bigger the 'gents' stirrups are.
Please excuse me hijacking your thread Kezzabell and my ignorance but I have a question about walking once the shoes come off. Do you mean walking in hand to start with and over a variety of surfaces? Front shoes are hopefully coming off next week and I want to try to get things right for it to...
I love my Racesafe and am hoping to look at their new one soon. I also have a Kanteq but only wore it a few times. I found it to be really heavy, restrictive to wear and made me look ridiculous. Despite the cost it is now sat in a cupboard :(
