    Haas brushes

Brilliant. Thanks for the input. I think mine wouldn't be keen on the schimmel. He can be sensitive to groom. I definitely need one to lift scurfy bit off as I just don't seem to be able to find a brush that gets through the fluff!

    Haas brushes

I'm thinking of treating myself to some new brushes. Are Haas brushes worth it? I'm keen to just get a couple of separate brushes rather than a pack but I'm confused with what they are all meant to do..... Any recommendations for use on a greasy fluffy bay thoroughbred please?

    Riding with nerve damage

Amazing. Thank you. Leo Walker.. sorry to hear you have suffered too. I've wondered about a podiatrist so I think I'll look into this further. Same with the B12. Broughsuperior... Thank you. I didn't even consider that as an option! Definitely something to look in to. Emilylou.... I already...

    Riding with nerve damage

Does anyone on here ride with any degree of nerve damage to the leg or more specifically the ankle and foot? I suffered an excruciating bout of sciatica back in April. Essentially I woke up in the morning completely unable to move my left foot. My leg was weak from the hip down to my ankle...

Squamous cell carcinoma and penile amputation- advice please

Definitely get a second opinion. Our old boy had a lesion removed over 4 years ago at the age of 24. This turned out to be squamous cell carcinoma. Because the margins around the lesion were clear we decided to leave it at that. Surgery was not an option in any capacity. Vets advised that...

Disappointed at friends attitude to me

I would be so much happier that someone had said "sorry, your horse is not for me" rather than sticking with it and it becoming an issue all round. It sounds like she's taking her problems out on you and that doesn't make her a good friend. Well done on the weight loss. There is a horse out...

    Liveryman Clippers

I have the Liveryman Apollo clippers and I had real trouble at first. I have a cob and a TB to clip and actually had more trouble with the fine fluffy TB coat. The blades just seemed to chew their way through and go blunt for no reason. A full clip took hours as they kept heating up. I...

    Things from the past

Knew I had one somewhere.... Classic look for the mid 90's... mucker boots, beige Caldene jods and skull cap with sweaty chin cup! I'm impressed at my matchyness too lol.

    Thanking drivers

I try to thank as many as I can including some that probably haven't really done enough to earn the thanks. In my mind as a driver I think it's nice to be acknowledged. As a rider I will try to give off a pleasant and polite vibe to drivers in the hope that they may slow a little more for the...

    Things from the past

One of the horses at my yard still wears an original chaskitt with the spider! As far as I'm aware it's never been reproofed and it's still going strong and said horse does love a puddle wallow!

    Things from the past

Stylo were the best kind of rubber boot lol. The lining always use to wear away in mine. I remember all the horses at the riding school I worked at use to have one jute rug with roller, one canvas crispy New Zealand and they all got a new 'poly warm' rug. All rugs the same navy blue with red...
