Oh dear that sounds like such bad luck :( It sucks when that happens! Especially when its never gone wrong before! I am booking my test soon and haven't yet done one - do you mind me asking what it consists of? I'm just practicing towing my trailer around whilst empty (as this way it isn't over...
Hello :)
I am trying to find the best surface for a corral! I want to put in hard standing area for the winter, that my youngsters can go in over night instead of a stable, to get them out of the mud and wet.
I know of people who have used road planings and limestone, but I wondered if...
Fab Thanks :)
How much does the bedding cost you on top p/m? and do you have to pay extra for holding for the vet/farrier or would they just do that for you?
Just doing some research... how much do you pay for livery and whats included and what extras are there (Hay, bedding, hard feed, holding for farrier etc.)?
(Part 5/7day and DIY assisted ONLY please).
I posted this on horsey FB page too and got some good feedback but am still looking to...
Am doing some research... what would you say is the most popular/most in demand type of livery out of 5 day part, 7 day part and DIY assisted.
NOT including DIY or FULL (livery with exercise) please :)
Thanks!
Yes that video is awful. I am not making excuses for her and I am not a parelli fan myself, but I guess we all do have bad days and do things we wish we hadn't and I'm sure she really regrets reacting like that and treating the horse in that way. None of us are perfect, just as no one set way of...
Yes I have met the people that run that yard, they are fab :) I am really into intelligient horsemanship as I love that they embrace new ideas and methods instead of 'this is the one set way, and the only way'. Some really good points there, thank you!
Thank you everyone for all your responses, they have been really helpful and its fab to see a wide variety of opinions and ideas. Really interesting to read and sI now have lots more things to think about and consider :) Thanks all!
Precisely! Plus, in England so many horses really struggle with our grazing and so couldn't be turned out 24/7. I am the proud owner of 3 good doers, who as a result have to come into a corral/stable/starvation paddock over night and only out grazing for a few hours in the day. In an ideal world...
This is exactly what I meant! I know there are hundreds of lovely yards out there, and my post has come across completely the wrong way. Thank you for understanding what I was trying to say! :)
I'm sorry if i offended you, I really was not suggesting that at all and am very upset it has come across this way. I use a mish mash of methods too and have very happy horses, and what you are doing sounds ideal. I really was not expecting this post to insult and should have re-read it before I...
