The tow weights on the bigger 4x4 LWB are not as important because you have a heavy rear axle, heavy large engine over 2l, transmission...

Think you will struggle getting her there. My horse passed away at the Glasgow vet school and I let them use him for teaching on the post mort. It meant I saved on the disposal costs and they I took a lock of his hair.
I say again, much too close for comfort with yeti. The 511 really is a bigger beast altogether - think more wind resistance, momentum, heavier and impossible to move by hand if you need to wiggle it. I would only hitch it with a bigger LWB 4x4.
You might be ok with the Yeti, it can certainly...
This is where paper and real life do not match. The volvo is also certified to tow 2 tonnes, but towing ANYTHING much heavier than the tow vehicle is not a great idea especially if not 4x4.
A ford fiesta is certified to tow 1100kg, no one in their right mind would hook it up to a 505 and put a...
Ive had a 505 and a yeti, pulling is not the issue its stopping and controlling the rig when being overtaken on the motorway. I love the yeti but its light as 4x4 go 1550kg. 505 950kg plus a 500kg horse and gear, no thanks, it will push the car down the hill.
Old volvo s60 1600kg, 401 is 770kg...
If the yeti is the 2l you will be fine but I would stick to a single horse trailer.
Ifor 401 or cheval mare and foal both great, lightweight, strong and hold value and affordable. You can push them about manually if needed and park in tight spots.
Double 505 would be pushing it for the yeti for...

They take in horses and PTS when they nolonger have good quality of life. They rehome healthy individuals while retaining ownership. They train and back youngsters to make rehoming easier. They loan out youngsters.
You know normal horse rescue stuff.
This sounds like complete madness, its perfectly possible to back a horse without an indoor or even a school. Rearing in the field, like normal horse behaviour?
Its perfectly possible and indeed responsible to PTS horses with such difficult problems.
The people running this rescue sound like...
Take all your stuff away in the days before. Walk your ponies away from the field/yard/stable and down the road and load them up and away so there can be no confrontation if you are worried.Tie them along side the lorry if more than 2.
What about switching to District nursing? Out and about in the fresh air, still hard physical work but I prefer it to the wards. We have different shifts now too so not 9 til 5. I moved from horses to nursing and prefer to keep horses as hobby, better hours, protections and sick pay, important...
Buying a sand scoop rake and a few people doing each section could do it a few hours if you take turns. If you screw 2 together and pull them behind a quad it would be easier.
