Thanks Faracat. I have looked at their website and will see if I can get some advice from them; we are in Scotland so prob too far for us to travel.

    Rehab following Hoof/Soft Tissue Injury

Advice please: My horse has been lame (never more than 2/10) on his left fore since we bought him at the end of September 2013. Initially diagnosed by vet as Synovitis of the coffin joint, he was put on box-rest and received a HA/cortisone injection. He was still NQR in January 2014. Vet...

    Part-Exchanging Horsebox

Has anybody been able to part-exchange a horsebox for a trailer (ideally in Scotland)? Alternatively, experience of a dealer selling your horsebox for you? We are not in the ideal location to show off our horsebox for sale, so I would like somebody to sell it for me but wonder how to go about...

Considering 7.5t Lorry - Advice pls!

Budget will probably be around £12k. We'll definitely be out once a week, sometimes more (2-3 times in spring/summer). Pony club family so lots of 1-2 hour journeys but usually no further than that.

Considering 7.5t Lorry - Advice pls!

    Buying Seaweed

When we bought our new pony she had always been fed it and we just carried on her routine. However, I believe that it is particularly helpful with maintaining strong hooves and a shiny coat!

    Buying Seaweed

Thanks Lilym - £28 for 25kg is a great price. Do you use it yourself? I presume that seaweed is seaweed and therefore all would be of similar quality?!!

    Buying Seaweed

I currently buy seaweed in a 2kg tub (around £7). I believe that significant savings can be made by buying this by the sackful. Can anybody recommend a good and reasonably priced source? Thanks!

    Illness Insurance Cover for Veterans?

Thanks cbmcts - If u don't mind me asking - what sum insured did you get your boy covered for? I'm taking onboard the suggestion above to go for a lower sum insured whilst maximising vet fees cover and your premiums sound very reasonable.

    Illness Insurance Cover for Veterans?

Thanks Tedster and RTK, and good point about keeping the sum insured of the pony low without reducing the veterinary fees cover.

    Illness Insurance Cover for Veterans?

Does anybody know of/can recommend an Insurance Company that will cover veterans for Injury AND Illness at a reasonable price? (I know, I know, all insurance is ridiculously expensive)! We are buying an 18yo pony and our current insurer will only cover for Injury.
