Well that's shooting themselves in the foot... I've just seen this special offer link has appeared on the homepage if anyone's interested and the page isn't restricted from what I can see...
Don't agree that it's a bad area for competition venues. Yes losing Patchetts was a blow but Bury Farm in Slapton isn't that far away, and Addington/Quainton Stud are a bit further over still. Admittedly I'm over the Herts/Beds border, but I feel I've got plenty of competition options.
Lucky you. Lovely (and incredibly expensive!) town.

Note to anyone planning on ordering from this company, based on my personal experience I would definitely only pay via paypal and don't hesitate to use the paypal dispute process if you find yourself in the position of requiring a refund that isn't forthcoming. Issue now resolved, but I won't be...
There was a video feature about loading a horse on the H&H website recently that might be helpful to you. I'll see if I can find it...

As subject line. Considering signing up for a cross-country session, but would like some opinions first. Horse is quite straight forward to jump, but I will be a bit rusty. Any thoughts?
It's a scam. If you email them they will reply, but for some reason you won't be able to view the lorry (seller too busy, on holiday, middle of a divorce, lorry temporarily located at the other end of the country) and they will tell you if you bank transfer a sum money to them as a deposit they...
I recommend pig oil and sulpher, but you need to start applying it BEFORE any mud fever takes hold. Otherwise check out the tips here - http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/mud-fever - there might be something useful that you help you and your horse.
Here is what H&H's vet Karen Coumbe recommends: http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/horse-care/horse-care-tips/the-ideal-first-aid-kit-for-an-equine-emergency/
I attended the vetting for my latest horse and I was glad I did. The vetting showed up a few niggles and by being there I could see the issues and discuss them with the vet there and then, rather than have the vet describe them over the phone. If you can possibly be there I would recommend you do.
Loads of great advice on coping with the winter here - http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/winter-horsecare - some of these tips really helped me last winter. Check out the one about looking after yourself. All very well putting the horses first, but you need to take care of yourself so you are able...
There was a really useful article about improving a horse's concentration in H&H mag earlier this year. I've found some extracts from it on the website, although it isn't the full piece - http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/features/five-training-tips-to-help-your-horse-concentrate/ - hopefully there...
I am considering signing up for a XC clinic with Nick at Milton Keynes Eventing Centre with my new horse. Anyone had a lesson with Nick who can tell me what sort of trainer he is? Thanks
