Full disclosure: I'm a bit of a fusspot when it comes to being comfy in my clothes, but here goes...
I'm looking for reasonably priced new breeches for daily use, need to be reasonably durable and wash well etc etc. I'm size 10-12 but breeches either seem to get stuck at my knees, or come all...
My new RI has had me working in a light seat for a few strides of trot to stretch the backs of my legs and encourage my heels down. Has also worked well for my friend who is very tight in her hamstrings and glutes.
The horses at my old RS would always lick and bite me when wearing my purple winter coat but at no other time. Someone there said horses are colour-blind totally but I could't believe it.n
Not me, but then I'm a RS student so would feel like I knew where I stood. Perhaps you might attract people looking to buy their first horse and wanting something safe? Unless of course that isn't what you're selling!
Your spelling and grammar seem OK to me after more than a bottle of wine! ;)
I don't know what to say apart from I'm sorry to hear your day has gone so wrong. I can never believe the attitude of some people and the number of stories that come up about the RSPCA is shocking
Thanks for the welcome :)
The new place has well-schooled cob-types for different ability levels. Previously, though, I've also ridden sport horses (if that is an actual breed!), Cleveland Bay, ex-racer TBs and everything in between with napping, bucking, bolting etc etc :p
Tbh I don't...
I joined the other day and forgot to introduce myself! There isn't much to say as I don't own my own *devastation smiley* but have been learning to ride for over two years now. After two years at the same school I've finally picked up on the bad attitude of the place  and moved myself...
I started when I was 23, only 2 years ago. I wanted to ride for as long as I can remember. Can't tell you how excited I was when hubby gave me riding lessons for my birthday even thought he still doesn't understand why I would ever want to have my own :D
Thanks for this thread and the helpful answers - I'm looking to buy one too and have no idea where to start! My local tack shop is very helpful and unpressuring but I'm not totally confident in their fitting for hats and BPs!
