There are a lot of ventilated hat out there from Red Horse to Troxel to LAS price ranges, most of them are adjustable via a dial at the back and therefore fit a range of head sizes and shapes.

The FEI/BEF look at as to why you are feeding said substance in these cases - if you are feeding as a calmer then it's not OK but if you are feeding to account for a lacking in the diet then it's fine - it's about intent!
explain to your instructor that you're not sure - it was an automated response etc, she is asking to help you, and sometimes people are taught to do the oddest things so we ask why your doing it so that we can understand if it was a bad technique taught or habit gained by instinct or something...
Sounds like you should be fine with that sort of training in your pocket! Especially if you are training on similar terrain to that of the ride - be aware if you train on the flat and compete on the hills you might want to try to get some hill work in first!

I have a question about the metal struts on the side panels - the welds are cracked should I be worried? I took for a service and they said not to worry but it seems structural to me! They are cracked on both sides and horse has only ever travelled in one side!
