    Retirement Livery Recommendations?

I am looking for retirement livery for a 34 year old mare! Any recommendations as I wont be in a position to go and check on her as much as I would like. I'm also debating putting her on full livery as living out in a big herd would be a big change for her, so wondering whether a full...

What to do? Owner wont remove horse from field.

Update. Mare has a headcollar on (that was a fun battle that I have no wish to repeat any time soon ... have constructed some sort of weird electric fence thing past the woodpile and muck heap so they can get to the woodchip .. this resulted in foal turning into some sort of bucking ninja and...

What to do? Owner wont remove horse from field.

BePositive - that is exactly what I am thinking. Do you think its best get a gang and just corner the foal and get a slip on it, or concentrate on solely mum first? Alyth - I will try that way - I am generally a more softly softly person, and if they weren't cooped up id be all for it its just...

How far away are your horses from where you live?

Depends on the time of year. In the winter they are 50 steps away from my back door. In the summer 1.5 miles down the road.

What to do? Owner wont remove horse from field.

Thanks everyone. I have sent her a text and pinned the same message onto the gate to tell her I will be herding them into the yard at the weekend, that if she contacts me I will do it at a time to suit her rather than myself, Also mutual friend and I are willing to help out as best we can but...
