I bought an adjustable saddle company saddle on eBay, but even that didnt fit, which is why I say online can be an expensive mistake.

I would've thought going through a saddle fitter would be best. They often have second hand stock. At least then you will have it properly fitted which is important, and doubly so if you're building your horse up. Buying off the Internet is so hit and miss you could end up spending a lot to find...

Yep did the EE one. It was ok, but a group course so didn't get very long. And the instructor seemed more interested in chatting than actually helping me.
But don't you think many people would see even this level of management of barefoot as faffing? Many who shoe would refuse to accept that restricting grass is necessary, and is all part of the BF obsession with fashion over good standard horsecare?!
