    Good saddler west sussex

Has anyone bought a saddle from Spragg saddlery? Web site looks good and custom made saddles are a reasonable price but does he fit well? Anyone used him? I have been told Tom Day TDS saddlery is good, anyone with some advice please.

So who is going to crufts and what do you want to see

You have to look up the dogs further back individually and use your common sense also, I put my bitch in with sire who was the result of a father and daughter mating and the co efficient wasn't that bad. it's only a tool and can be useful if used with other information

So who is going to crufts and what do you want to see

I agree it's not gospel but useful, I certainly did do my homework. The sire I used was from an AI litter and had american lines. Also agree on linebreeding there are pros and cons but generally the stud dogs I looked at were too close for my liking. As far as I can possiblfy be sure both...

Now THIS takes the ultimate designer dog cake!

It all seems pretty hopeless for these poor sorry little dogs, I only found out about this place because someone I know bought a pup to take it out of the situation. The answer is educating people into buying responsibly but how do you do that apart from signing all the online pettitions you...

So who is going to crufts and what do you want to see

Don't know anything about your breed but a lot of the show dogs in any breed are closely bred. With your little girl so young you've got loads of time to find her perfect mate. Have a look at the Kennel Club Mate Select page, it's a great tool to work out the inbreeding co-efficient. I've...

Now THIS takes the ultimate designer dog cake!

This has given us all a good laugh but can't something be done about this! The Kennel club might be too fluffy in their approach about breeding but these dogs don't have anyone representing them. Just found out there's a puppy farm half a mile from me and livid! They're calling themselves...

    Dew/fore claw removal

Ouch, poor boy, yes gut instinct tells me off. The vet who is happy to do it I trust and if he does it I'm sure he has given it a lot of thought. Thanks

    Dew/fore claw removal

I have a litter of pointers due in a couple of weeks and can't decide what to do about the dew claws. I've always had dogs without before but my present bitch has hers on and hasn't had a problem so far. Do they really cause a problem? They look like trouble to me and I wish she didn't have...

    Dog Pregnacy Symptoms

Thanks for that info, it's what I wanted to hear! There seems to be conflicting oppinions as to whether or not to scan, will hang on a bit longer and try to be more patient.

    Dog Pregnacy Symptoms

My bitch as mated on 27/11 and 29/11 so now should be nearly 3 weeks, I cant say I have noticed any of the well known signs, she eats erratically any way, still a runs like mad on a walk, her teats could be a little swollen but not really sure. Is it too early to tell, should I just be...

Sweating one side of body only

Yes it is under his mane and I tried to convince myself that he was just to hot underneath it but the sweating goes down his neck and shoulder also

Sweating one side of body only

When I was catching him he didn't want to come in and chased around a bit, he was sweaty while I was doing him. Also on a really quiet hack he sweated up. My friends horse also sweated but not so much and my pony was mainly on the right hand side from the top of his neck down to his shoulder

Sweating one side of body only

My pony is 16 ish years, grass kept, a bit overweight at present and seams to sweat more on one side to the other. He has started his winter coat and the weather has been exceptionally hot lately but the sweating doesn't seem right to me. Any ideas ?

    Working English Pointer Stud Wanted

Yes she has been xrayed and I'm waiting for official results, as I said it is not the norm in the pointer community, unfortunately, as there isn't generally a problem but if all breeding dogs were scored there wont ever be one. Yes it would be so easy to carry on line breeding as my bitches...
