Well that is rather confusing lol! I paid £1200 for her almost 3 years ago when she was 11 month old but I haven't looked around since so I have no idea at all! I'm hoping it won't happen but if it did I just don't know what would be the best price for her :(
Thanks guys! I have thought about loaning her out but she's still young and can be hard work at times so not sure how that would work out. Fingers crossed I don't have to deal with it as it will be heart breaking :( thanks for all your ideas and kind wishes :)
hi everyone, sadly I have been made redundant and I am starting to panic as I have 3 children and a mortgage to pay for and my horse too! Hopefully I will find another job asap but with the way the country is at the moment I have to prepare for the worst so if push comes to shove I will have to...
It was a jointed happy mouth snaffle. Maybe its the feel of the bit she doesn't like as you said. I'll try the happy mouth again and see if it helps. Thanks!
I am going to keep trying, I always reward her when we get it on, even if I do wanna scream lol! I just wish I could grow a bit and she wouldn't lol. Thanks.
Thanks everyone for the help! I did try tacking her up in the stable which worked better but then she refused to go in the stable, even for her feed lol! She was out then in August and thought if she went in she would be tacked up so that idea failed too! She was 3 in May and I have taken...
Lol! Thanks for the advice, I am starting to think she is just trying it on! I have a friend sho is taller and perhaps a bit firmer and she had no problem with her so maybe she is just been a teenager and pushing the limits!
It is a French Link she has at the moment cos I thought it might have been the nutcracker action that was causing the problem but it sems to make no difference which she has in. Once the bit is in she settles and is fine. May be she is just playing up now she knows she can do it. She can be...
Thanks everyone! I have tried the treacle on the bit but it doesn't help and it ends up all over her face and it won't come off lol! I have tried the bridle on and off without the bit and she is fine. I have checked her ears and she lets me mess with them and everything so it can't be that. I...
Dear all,
I am really struggling with getting the bridle on my mare. She is 3, I started off in a loose ring happy mouth snaffle and had no problem at all. Then I moved to a normal eggbut snaffle and after a few weeks she started putting her head up so I couldn't get the bit in and pushing me...
The farrier I have has always been very good and this has never happened to her before (I've had her from 10 months) however the last few times I have had her out she has been a bit rushed and hasn't taken much care so as it happens I was going to try a friends farrier in the morning so I'll see...
I wondered about that myself but she was fine on Tuesday night and I haven't rode her since Sunday and she hasn't been over any poles as she's only 3 so shes not doing very much at the min, just light hacking and getting used to traffic really, I only backed her in the spring. It looks as though...
Thanks guys, that was my idea too. Would you advise riding her or giving her a rest? I don't want to make her uncomfortable even though she's not lame.
