I’ve used both.
I still train with Harry and have found his judging background very helpful. Plus he’s over this way regularly so much more consistent than when I used Charlie.
Happy to suggest other names depending on what area you’re in.
We’ve had a relatively productive weekend. I’m trying to take advantage of only really having Nashville in full work and getting him really confident (ive babied him a little as he’s quite sensitive and also huuuge) with a view to starting competing properly this summer.
So with that in mind...
I have guido leidelmeyer booked to do a groundwork session. He was supposed to be doing a follow up with Jack but he (Jack) has spectacularly broken himself so NV will do the session in his place as too late to cancel.
Know the feeling well. In 14 days we’ve had 5 vet visits for the following:
Performance work up
Suspensories medicated
Colic (OOH call-out)
Cellulitis
Lameness + shockwave treatment
All different horses of course. Vet is back out today to scan as lameness hasn’t improved and suspect he’ll...
The baby of the yard (who’s now 6 so not really a baby anymore 😳) had his first lesson of the year. He actually coped really well given that we had 45-50mph gusts forecast today.
He’s finally starting to mature so time to start thinking about getting him out and about properly now. Hopefully...
Survived taking 4 out.
Cas still not quite right so retired - vet came out yesterday to block his suspensories and there was a difference after blocking so he’s going to get them medicated tomorrow.
The others managed a win and 2 seconds between them so a good outing overall.
Four going to BD on Sunday and of course, one has managed to lose a shoe 🙄 I might just take the remaining one off myself if the farrier can’t come before next week
Ran through the tests this morning so tomorrow will be a jump/polework day to keep everyone sweet.
Jack will do some more...
Test was a bit hit-and-miss but the good bits have all gone up half/one mark so I’ll take that as a win.
He goes a little bit backwards on me in the ring so we’re going to step back down for a bit and get some more in-ring miles under our belt without the pressure.
yesterday afternoon we...
I have one.
It’s decent quality leather but that said, horse has had 5 months off with a suspensories injury so it’s not had a lot of use.
It’s a nice fit for my awkward-sized IDx (chunky, wide head so needs a big Noseband but shorter Cheekpieces).
