    Racing Shires!

The jockeys loved it! I wouldn't say they were fast but they were certainly powerful. Fab spectacle and its going to be an annual fixture :)

    Shire racing

It was awesome and the ground did shake and the race goers applauded the shires as they came into the parade ring. They behaved beautifully. Plans to run again next year so look out for it!

    Am I being unrealistic?

Agree with other correspondent - 6k will probably see you overhorsed. Whatever you get is going to need time to settle and bond before your daughter can poodle off for two hours on her own. Although the trotted up one sounds like a nightmare! Dealers jobs are to sell horses .. When you look...

Anyone know Abi sold by Safecobs?

Lol - talk about cheeky! I think the worst thing would be having an old owner doing the "you don't want to do it like that" speech

Anyone know Abi sold by Safecobs?

I randomly came across the person who bred my horse - he's freezemarked so definitely him. By that point I had owned him for 10 years, so it didn't matter that what I heard was negative. However, had I been given the information when I first had him, it would have coloured my opinion of him. It...

    Amazing country boots on offer....

I have the kinpurnue short boots, if anything they a bit wide on top, more like wellies than riding boots. Agree re Tuffas, have worn them for about the last - gulp - nearly 20 years. On my third pair, wear them for dog walking, shool run, riding, all the time! Best boots in the world. Where...

    Amazing country boots on offer....

Defo go a size up. I bought 38 which is usually fine for me but they a little snug and a bit difficult to get on and off. Unfortunately this has led to the tab on the back of the boot pinging off the stud :( .... But Derby House have said i can send them back for replacement so hoping to get...

    Baths

Agree with little claybrooks ... Very hot water squirt of baby oil, clean tea towel in then well wrung out. Brings all the dust and grease out. Used to use as a polish before shows if no time/ too cold for bath. That was in the days LONG before horse showers were invented :)

    Amazing country boots on offer....

Started wearing my short kinpurnies a couple of weeks ago. I am about a 5.5 normally so ordered the 38 and they slightly snug but will be ok. They've taken a while to break in, rubbed a bit of my heel to start with but ok now. Wide enough to tuck jeans in but not too flappy which is nice. The...

    Amazing country boots on offer....

They've got the short ones on for £50 now and the long ones for £65. I've already got suffolks for long ones but really tempted by the short ones as easy pull ons. What's the sizing like? Am normally a 5.5 but take a 5 in suffolks as they big so wondering if should go for 5? Any thoughts?
