    Good quality leather headcollar?

I bought an extra full version of this one for my horse, the quality is really very good, we get lots of compliments on it! And it has loads of fittings so great for grooming/faffing etc...

    Show Treka Wheel Lock

Thank you - it looks like I’m finally on the right track! I have placed my order for a qd13 now, so now I’ve just got to get the others I’ve erroneously ordered back to whence they came!

    Show Treka Wheel Lock

Thank you, thank you, thank you so so much! I’ve been driving myself spare over this ?

    Show Treka Wheel Lock

Thank you! Is it definitely the qd33 you have rather than the qd13? I keep coming unstuck with ordering them and it’s costing me a fortune in return postage as they are so flippin’ heavy!

    Show Treka Wheel Lock

After purchasing two separate wheel locks for my show treka and finding neither fit, can anyone point me in the right direction for one that will please?! I’m struggling to find one that fits under the trim ?

    Cost of 5 stage vetting

I’ve just been quoted £526.98 inc VAT for a five stage! Haven’t bought a horse for about 20 years so wasn’t sure if this was the going rate now...!

    Weight bearing laminitis

Fingers crossed for you - definitely sounds like something is going on with her; mine is looking slimmer in the past week on 2% hay rations + two buckets of fast fibre a day so I agree with your thinking that no weight loss with 1.5% rations seems off!

    Weight bearing laminitis

Thanks for replying! I’ve actually read your posts on H&H and from your story I was planning on asking for the THR test rather than the ACTH test. So sorry you didn’t get the result you needed sooner - we rely so much on vet medicine but it just goes to show that sometimes instincts are much...

    Weight bearing laminitis

Oh I didn’t realise there was another test! I will ask the vet about this on Monday. I am expecting we will be having the vet quite regularly so I’m sure we can fit this in for the next visit - will try and make sure we don’t need x-rays on the same day 😂 fingers crossed you get the...

    Weight bearing laminitis

It is an awful condition, my horse first came down with it in 2011 when he was at an equine college whilst I was at uni (fed like a racehorse, which he certainly is not) and through careful management he fortunately hasn’t had it since then. I’m not entirely convinced it is diet related this...

    Weight bearing laminitis

I hadn't even considered that, I will absolutely mention to the vet, thank you!

    Weight bearing laminitis

Thank you for replying. Lami is just rotten and I completely understand your decision to PTS rather than treat; in a lot of ways I wish I was strong enough to make that call now myself but rightly or wrongly I just can't yet. He is my first (and only) horse so I've not been in this position...

    Weight bearing laminitis

Thanks for replying! The vet is attending at 2pm on Monday so I will get the Cushing's test done then. I will hold off on the EMS test for now as I fear it will be difficult to get the 12hr starving done. He will be having further vet visits in the next few weeks so I will see if I can get a...

    Weight bearing laminitis

I'm not sure what result the vet was seeking really but I did indicate to the vet that I want a positive Cushing's result in all honesty as it at least gives me something to medicate, as currently all I can give him is Bute which doesn't seem to be making a huge amount of difference. He is...

    Weight bearing laminitis

I'm certainly being realistic about it, and I'm not going to let him get worse but hopefully we can help him get better. The next vet visit will hopefully reveal more, I am prepared to make the call to PTS if the prognosis is really poor but the vets so far are indicating there is still...
