Make one. My 10yo son made one for me no problem. Or use a plastic chair, but not in the mud as I did, it was very embarrasing when the legs sunk into the ground.

Nah - Grey is obsolete - just try doing your individual show on a grey in a muddy ring (Royal Highland this Summer) Mud-coloured is the best. Anyway, they say with global warming we will get wetter and milder so that means less snow for greys to hide in. My next one will be mud coloured!

I was very interested to read this as I thought this very old and almost secret remedy had long died out. In Scotland, those with the "Word" had loads of remedies and cloves was one of them. I believe they were given for resperatory problems and horses would only eat them if they needed them...

Why dont you donate them to the Amersham appeal (see other posts) Failing that, send them to your nearest horse rescue charity.
