2nd US dressage competition for Pepperponi and I. Once again the temperature is forecast to be around 30 degrees and stormy - sweaty dressage is not my (nor P's) favourite!!!

Took my 6 yr old to do his first novice and elementary tests yesterday and over the moon to come away with two wins at 64.2 and 62.8% respectively (unafil).
Comments were very fair and constructive :)
Now we struggle with getting a true medium trot and I don't want to just 'run' as it flattens...
There is a possibility I may be relocating to the USA with work and I'd really like to take my horse too.
I know this is costly but can anyone provide me with their experiences? Cost/ effect on horse/ how horse settled in?
Potentially relocating to Pittsburgh next year and trying to ascertain what the area is like horse wise before I decide to bring my horse with me!
