    arrrgh!

I always close gates. I was brought up with countryside ettiquette, which is to always close gates behind you. I have the opposite problem on my yard where nobody closes gates! So annoying!

Hi guys. I currently use Bedmax shavings for my horse who has a mild form of COPD and this bedding, although expensive, is working well for us. Lots of people on my yard are changing their bedding to wood pellets and highly recommending them. Whilst I like the idea I'm concerend about the dust...

Advice on bucking please - apologies for the lengthy post.

Hi guys - I'm at my wits end and if I don't get this sorted soon my cob will have to go. The thought breaks me in two but I don't know what else to do. Can anyone help with suggestions? I bought my Welsh Section D just over a year ago, and was told he had been out of work for 'a few weeks'...

    Buttercup Burn

Hi Striker. Thanks for your reply. I would love to treat the field and be buttercup free but I'm on a livery so they aren't my fields. A couple of horses on our yard have developed it lately all grazing together. Fortunately it hasn't developed into sores yet.

Should you be able to spot COPD at a 5 stage vetting?

I think I already know the answer to this but thought I would ask those with more knowledge and expertise in this area. With all the exercises/checks during a 5 stage vetting, would you be able to ascertain whether or not a horse had COPD? I know vetting your horse is a bit like taking your...

    Rug or no rug?

Hi guys, Everyone is always kind and helpful on this forum so thought I would ask you for your opinion on putting rugs on horses. I have a cob who was never rugged before he came to me. Since he has been with me I have been putting a waterproof rug on him in really bad weather as there is not...
