Can anybody recommend some saddle soap/balm etc which doesn't contain glycerine or eucalyptus? I have saddles to clean which cannot have gylcerine and one lady at the yard is allergic to eucalyptus. Is there a product out there that both of us could use?
Thanks!
I keep my horse at Witcham EC and know the horses and riders very well. Everyone here would like to thank you all for your good wishes. Patsy is being an amazing patient and all being well should make a full recovery. Fleur and the two riders are bruised and battered but okay. Updates will be...
I find a checklist invaluable, especially when taking more than one horse. Also the more you can do the day before the better. I was once given a great piece of advice about allowing enough time on the morning of the show - decided how much time you need then add on half an hour for the...
I've done it and not regretted it at all. In fact I think I have more quality time with my pony than with the previous horse I had on DIY when it was only me renting a field. I see her nearly everyday and never have to worry if I cannot get there for any reason. This has been especially...
I am thinking of having a go but as I have not done these classes before wondered if anyone could give me some advice on what to wear, what the jumps are like etc. Thank you!
I highly recommend Sally Wilkin at Witcham Equestrian Centre (near Ely), she trains all levels of horses and riders and is brillilant at working horses and riders together as a team. She is also good at knowing when to be reassuring and when to give you a kick up the bum! You can contact her...

I ran strip lights off a car battery which worked really well for my tack room and stable. I had a spare battery at home so I didn't run out of charge (having had this happen when I as in the middle of plaiting - resorted to a torch tied round my neck!). I also painted the inside walls and...
Thanks for all the input and the info about watching the screen. I am the passenger so it will be me watching while my friend drives, just like we do with the satnav.
Could any of you advise me on which type of CCTV to get for a horsebox. We do not have access from the cab and would feel safer if we could see what the neddies are up to! We travel 3 horses and presume a wide angle lens would be best. Thank you!
