I have been jumping on and off the mounting block next to her but I didnt think about standing right next to her and waving my arms around! lol. But i think this may be beneficial. For a fat hairy cob shes extremely sharp when scared, so i want to try and correct it now rather than later. If im...
Thanks for replys. I did taken in to consideration whether she had hurt herself, but there's nothing obvious to see. The woman got stood on, but did say the horse didn't put her full weight down so she was trying to avoid her. Apart from that shes fine and wants to come back and try her again...
Last week I had a woman out to try my welsh cob (5yo, backed a year ago and until now was pretty much bombproof) as she was looking to take her on loan. She had been out to see her previously and loved her so came back a week later to go out a hack. We were just setting off when one of the fat...
Are you talking about the gland under the chin or behind? My horses gland under her chin (ie in front of where throat lash lies) is huge, orange size. Xrayed and she has a tooth root abscess...we are now 3 weeks in to a 6week or longer course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory but she may...
Hi there, my horse has a bald patch on her face under her eye. It started with a sticky patch of hair which came away in my hand, about the size of a 50p. She wasnt itchy, sore, inflammed etc. No cuts, bangs. Shes had skin scrapes (neg for mites) and ive tried treating for fungal infections...

In my opinion they are treated like machines, they dont understand what its like to be loved. in my horses case any affection, petting, cuddles i gave was greeted by teeth, feet and
She went lame on one leg and after further investigation we realise she was lame on both fronts....she prob had been all along. She had xrays of her feet and you could see it. you can actually see it without shoes...i just didnt know what i was looking for as id never heard of it. now i know...
Aaah hit send too quick! She was lame because of medial lateral imbalance of front feet and she was compensating through her back giving the impression she was cold backed...and she broncked!
My filly had a bad abscess in december which resulted in a lot of foot being cut away on the medial side of her hoof. once that was sorted she had plastic shoes on until the hoof grew out and has had them off about 5-6 weeks now.
she came in hopping lame in saturday, vet out etc, is now on...
