If you're looking for a pair which are great for dog-walking too, I'd say go for the Ariat Grasmere boot - lovely and toasty in the winter, totally waterproof, very comfortable and easy to maintain. They are suitable for riding although I don't use mine for that.

I always wear Candela breeches as they fit me so well and I do have a pair of the denim ones - fabulously comfortable and, like all Pikeur breeches, wash well and last for ages! I do find that Pikeur come up a little larger than other makes though so if you are borderline, I'd pick the smaller...

Mark, these may well be of considerable interest to someone and it is certainly worth advertising them - try ebay? I would love them as my collection was lost in a flood some time ago but I doubt my current budget would stretch to the delivery!
