La Baule Superleague - Round 1

Thanks for explaining, there were some horses near me that jumped at Le Touquet and are now at Windsor. Hopefully they're ok.... Lovely first round from Amaretto D'arco today! You must be so proud of him :)

La Baule Superleague - Round 1

Luxury choice! Are you watching on FEI TV? What's the deal with the French? They've put through a B Team, as there is a virus in Normandy, but won't that affect the other horses in La Baule?

    Reed Kessler

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/10/sports/olympics/reed-kessler-faces-trials-for-olympic-show-jumping.html?_r=1&ref=sports Seventeen years old and a serious contender for the US Team. Good for her! The USEF selection trials are pretty hard core.

    Stallion thoughts?

How old is he? He has a shoulder that is very straight, so movement would be restricted. He is too long in the back for me. I would also be very reluctant to use any mare of mine to teach someone elses's stallion manners, insured or not.

    Guildford Louise M lesson...

LouiseM is an HHO showjumping member, based in Belgium, and she has offered to come to the UK for a teaching clinic/tour. She produces top horses (Amaretto D'Arco, Manneken du Coty), and is a amazing trainer. It's a fantastic opportunity....

Does this stallion have a place in todays breeding 'marketplace'?

No brainer for me I'm afraid. Plenty of well bred, sound and approved stallions out there, who have lovely confirmation and temperaments. The stud fee is only the start, so if I invested in breeding my own, I'd use the best I could afford. If I could afford only a small stud fee, I couldn't...

    Cad

Thanks for that Skydy. It appeared from the initial post that CMP was being labelled a cad and a bounder for having an affair. I agree that the chef d'equipe and the team showjumping trainer sleeping together stinks of nepotism, it isn't professional.
