Hi there. My mare is currently undergoing treatment for ulcers. She had not only lost condition off her back end and neck she also had temper tantrums. I have a brilliant vet who has a mobile gastroscopy machine so it was done on our yard. She had to be starved for at least 12/15 hours (no...
I would also suggest you practice with trotting poles and then put them before and after a small jump. They will make him think and will eventually stop him rushing. He's just a baby and if you put in the hard work you will reap the rewards later. Good luck
Raced (sedately) through the countryside having escaped from work. Hate driving in the dark. Got lost but eventually found it. Tons of stuff there and friends too. Got a bargain bnwt W/beeta turnout rug. Very happy. Even happier after I had the cheesy chips. Dribble dribble. They are yummy...
I shall be on the lookout for super strong 6'6 turnout rugs. My girl has somehow managed to rip (read destroyed back end) 3 rugs in about the same number of days. Will be my first time - ahhhhhhhhhh.
Cheesy chips - not quite dribbling yet but on the way.
I too have one or 2 bits to sell...
I am moving my horse in a week's time and I would love to hear from anyone in the new area (Gorefield/Tydd St Giles) who wouldn't mind a partner (mature) when hacking. There seems to be quite a bit of immediate/very near off road hacking looking at the maps. If anyone is interested please...
Thanks for responding I do appreciate it. Could explain why they haven't contacted me. Yes please could I have the facebook link and also, being cheeky here, would you be kind enough to write to them. Then if they want to they can either accept me as a friend on Facebook or contact me via HH Forum.
Does anyone know this yard or keep a horse there or know someone who does? I am tryng to trace my old horse called Carmel. I believe she is now owned by Angela and Stephanie Colgan who have changed her name to Pink Velvet. I also believe she is still kept at this yard. She definitely was in...
I have bought horses both with and without vetting. The first with no vetting was a small pony and she lived for many years and was brilliant and healthy, the second I had vetted and in later life she got navicular, the third again with no vetting was and is as sound as a bell at 22 years, the...
Just had the chiro for a general/new horse check up. Everything ok, just pelvis out a bit (recent) and atlas out (not so recent) - I was convinced she had a headache as she didn't like me touching the near side of her head. All now sorted. And clicky joints, well she is 12 and we all get those...
Nice to hear from you. I am not sure about jumping now. I used to jump anything out hunting years ago. Haven't jumped now for nearly 10 years but watch this space - you never know! Hague can certainly pop.
Thank you for responding. I used to hunt with vale of aylesbury and old berkely hunt north. I now reside in the fens. totally different landscape. In my youth I was known as "she can ride anything" I also used to bounce in those days. Even after 2 slipped discs and several years of pain, I find...
Have just received BHS mag and read about galloping grannies. Having suffered 2 slipped discs and having to sell my horse several years ago I thought that was the end of my riding days. A while ago I felt fit enough to start again and found some nice people who wanted help in exchange for rides...
