    Mud Daddy 12L

I use a Mobi washer on my dog. It holds 17 litres. I think they're mostly aimed at mountain bikes but it does a fab job on the dog lol. A friend has a Karcher one that she uses for her dog. It doesn't hold as much water tho so probably wouldn't be enough to do a horse, but it's great for the dog.

    Renting out my land

We rented a small yard of 2 acres with 2 stables to a neighbour who was very experienced with horses. She approached us asking if we'd consider renting to her. It rurned out to be a complete pain. She complained about everything, moved extra horses on contrary to the written agreement for two...

How much would you offer for land?

People close to us bought a 26 acre parcel of land about 2 years ago for just over £200k. Then divided it up into smaller parcels and sold them for £16k an acre. All sold very easily. Pony paddocks are very in demand. None had water. All had road access, altho 2 had shared access.

    Its happened again

Our one horse has sweet itch and wears a white sweet itch rug 24/7. Last year we put a white fly rug on her companion who is actually the boss of the two of them. Sweet itch horse went mad and attacked the other pony. Once the fly rug was removed all was peaceful again.

I think he got off lightly!!

Newent isn't far from me either but this is the first I've heard about it. I'm sickened that he basically got away with it.

    Danilon or Bute

Mine will do me a rolling prescription IF i buy the drugs from them. They then visit the horse every 6 months or so. But if i want to get my drugs from elsewhere then they will only write me a prescription for a one month supply and will have to come to see the horse each time, therefore making...

Tell me about headsets /earpieces for lessons.

Hubby and I used 2 way headpieces for hacking. They're a complete godsend as I'm partially deaf so hubs can let me know when cars etc are coming up from behind us. The volume can be adjusted but I don't think ours can be set on one way only. They weren't expensive as we weren't sure they would...

    Barefoot retired ponies and farrier

How often do your barefoot retired ponies see the farrier? Our farrier has recently retired and the new farrier is a lot more expensive (£20 extra each for the shod ones and £15 for the unshod ones). We've got 2 shod and 2 unshod so £70 extra per visit. I'm wondering whether I could have the...

    Price of bute

When I asked my vets about getting prascend and danilon on prescription rather than buying it through them they were very awkward. They said they could only give me a month's prescription at a time and i would have to pay a fee for each prescription. They said they'd have to see the pony more...

    Feed for old horse.

Our 37 year old pony is fed speedibeet, soaked pony nuts, linseed and Rowan and Barbary soft and soak. She has very few teeth left and no meeting grinding surfaces. She cant eat hay at all and quids food all the time. She also has cushings. She loses weight really easily but on this regime...

    Spaying a bitch

I was going to wait until after her second season as I thought she was quite young. She's the first bitch puppy I've owned as we've always had male puppies before and the bitches were rescues, so older and already spayed. The vet recommended spaying now when I took her in for a check up last...

    Spaying a bitch

Im just looking for some advice regarding spaying my spaniel bitch. Shes 11 months old and her first season started at the beginning of last December. The vet recommends the end of this month for spaying and has asked if I want her to have an ovariohysterectomy or keyhole surgery. The only...

Potential new horse perfect but for

It would put me off too. One of our previous horses had terrible mallenders. I went through hundreds of pounds worth of creams and washes but was only ever able to keep it at bay short term. As said above, trying to wash and apply cream to a horse that didnt want you anywhere near its legs...
