Feeding a very underweight tb (with a lot of problems)

This is a fascinating read! Id like to reach out to the person posting and encourage them to get in touch if they want to see photos of a horse displaying exactly the same weight problem! Kookie1988@hotmail.co.uk We have a 18yo ex NH gelding, rehomed as a rescue looking fat after a summer at...

    Project horse - anyone looking?

Found a perfect home the 1st day I advertised. And actually I got my perfect little horse in return. A local yard fancied her as a nice project and had a lovely trad show quality cob looking for a home in return. So we swapped. Goes to show that if you ask around and advertise honestly you can...

    Project horse - anyone looking?

The breaking yard are coming out to visit today and see what they can do with her. I'm not prepared to send her to another yard as she really needs some stability and consistency. My partner is riding her at the moment and if we had the space we would keep her for him but that's not the case...

    Project horse - anyone looking?

I am tentively offering my mare to a good home as either a project or possible broodmare. She is a 17'2 6yo ISH believed to be by Cruising out of a Ballinvella mare. Unfortnately her breeding is not recorded on the passport. I bought her from a stud in Ireland after she passed a vetting. She is...

    Physio or equine bodyworker?

I always use a reg qualified physio. It's a bit of a no-brainer to me. They train at uni for a minimum of 4 years in human physio then specialise and train separately in equine/animal physio. I had a horrible experience with a very well known 'body worker' who travelled up from England to a...

    Professionally broken horse any problems?

I can't believe how many negative postings there are about sending horses to prof breaking yards. . . I have broken 3 horses for myself in the last year and was planning to break my newest arrival but had to concede that she needed more consistency in the breaking process than I could give her...

    Dealers Scotland

To be honest I would avoid any dealer as Ive dealt with most in scotland and can only vouch for one, but he sells unhandled, unbroken stock. I would try places like riding schools for a nice safe steady cob. you can get lessons on it first and see how he really behaves before buying.
