So off the back of my buying horses of a certain colour (I have a bit of a tendency towards black horses!) what are your experiences of buying private v dealers? I know with dealers you supposedly have more legal protection so how do you approach buying privately? Would be keen to hear anyone's...
Well I've just seen another one (Welsh) I like the look off but it's 4 hours away!!! Sigh - and about 6 hours on the train (not a fan of a lot of driving). Private seller.
Am looking for black (ideally!!) 15-15.3 ideally 4-7 yo looking for an all rounder happy to bring on so long as fairly safe and sensible! Mainly looking to do xc

Nice paces only saw in school. Don’t know about jumping. Hacked apparently. Not done any arena stuff - maybe age- was a bit spooky in school but manageable
I guess by a while you’d expect a few months. I don’t think it would be that long.. it’s only been on a week or so. I need to accept it probably won’t be this horse (partly because of family EOL care it’s likely to be a few weeks anyway) I did express interest but did t make an offer.
