    Green horses - prices

I guess by a while you’d expect a few months. I don’t think it would be that long.. it’s only been on a week or so. I need to accept it probably won’t be this horse (partly because of family EOL care it’s likely to be a few weeks anyway) I did express interest but did t make an offer.

    Green horses - prices

I’ve been out of the market for 20 years. Prob end up thinking the first one would have been the best but when you’re new to it all again ( bought my boy in 2007)

    Green horses - prices

I saw one advertised at 9! I couldn’t quite get my head around it! I’d have thought around 5-6k. Seemed sensible but unbalanced as you’d expect and at that age no jumping (whereas some of the Irish ones have but then I worry they’ve done too much too soon). But I guess people are paying these...

I know it’s a how long is a piece of string question but a green horse 15h 4 -5 year old native how much would you expect to pay? Prices seem to vary quite a bit!

Was your second horse like the first?

I did go to see. Sweet but different to mine, less chunky, very green as expected for age, spooky a bit - I wasn't sure about the price given the greenness but maybe that's current market. What do you expect to pay for green these days?? Now wondering if I should look for something older, if...

    Dacia Duster 4x4 for towing?

I towed with a duster for about 7 years. I had a single Bateson derby trailer one of the lightest you can get. Took my 15hh cob everywhere in it. Did the job. Mind you when my OH got a freelander I towed with that for a bit and it was easier and obviously a bit heavier.

Was your second horse like the first?

Yes there’s a lot to be said here. It was literally that it looked like him and was the kind of horse I might go for like mine - although I think there’s a lot of interest in it anyway. I am not in a rush. I’ve looked on and off for two years and that’s only the second i enquired about...

Was your second horse like the first?

Jet is now 25, he’s my rock. 20 years together through the pain of colic surgeries and we still hack a few times a week. He’s still happy to be ridden so I keep him in work but just light hacking. I have been longing for another partly as a companion for my boy (he’s next to another horse but...

Has anyone swapped from overnight back to day turnout

So I swapped over - most are still out at night two are out in the day. But what I’ve found is that the two out in the day come in about 3 and the others don’t go out til 4.30 which means mine is on his own til then and he doesn’t like being on his own so not sure whether to swap back 🙄

    Where to sell trailer??

Selling my Bateson Derby - serviced every year and last service was last month a few weeks ago new ply floor added. Had zero interest - be interested to know what these trailers are going for. I looked at others for sale and priced it similarly but nothing. Currently on fb sites and marketplace...
