Small cobs and jumping saddles question

I have an Ideal Gazelle on my 15hh Welsh Section D and it fits her a treat. The points are quite far back so plenty of room for her shoulders and a nice wide baring surface underneath. :)

    Olympia

I watched it in person on Wednesday and thought the horses looked pissed off with life and I got no pleasure from it. Watched it on TV tonight and thought just the same. I also thought the chestnut looked lame at times!

Shocked at amount of bad feet seen at dressage yesterday!

The difference here is your pony is not shod. Many many un-shod horses go a long time between trims, that's normal. He's self trimming :) Nailing a lump of metal to a horses foot & then leaving it nailed there for 3 months is very different & what people are talking about :)

What is it......black ball inside netting cone hanging in field?

My horse is liveried on a road which has a lot of yards as you go down the road. In the fields of two separate yards, hanging in the fields is what appears to be a hard black ball with a white netting cone which comes down from above the ball and then covers the top half of the ball (the...

Hi vis - what do you deem necessary?

I ride in a tabard, hat band and leg wraps. For those of you using pink - beware at low light it is completely not visible. I got stopped many years ago by a very kind motorist who said that despite me wearing hi-viz, the pink just blended in at the start of dusk. I've worn yellow or orange...

    Thoughts on saddles...

I might be wrong with some of the newer treeless saddles but in the older treeless saddles the stirrup bars were secured by way of webbing which went up and over the horses back, and effectively creates a pressure line at that point. If you have a horse which is sore behind it's shoulder this...

Best place to park for Olympia if official car park is sold out?

We are heading down to Olympia on the Wednesday night for the dressage. It would cost about £100 per person to get the train from here. If I drove down is there places to park which are walking distance from Olympia? Thank you :)

Changes in the angle of coronary band?

I am waiting for my vet to call me back but thought I would canvas opinions here too whilst I wait. I noticed last night that my mare, who has been barefoot 3 years now's coronary band drops very slightly from the straight line at the front of her foot (ie if you draw a line from heel to...

where to look for "old fashioned" stamp of a warmblood

Are there any small studs in this country still breeding the old fashioned "chunky" stamp of warmblood? I don't like the modern spindly ones but so hard to find anyone breeding the more Negro stamp of a warmblood these days.
