okay thankyou! when walking what type of exercises should i do with her? I've always wondered though, shes out in her field during the day so wouldn't she just be walking then, making the walking exercise pointless?

My 16.2hh ISH mare has just recovered from a bad infection in her hind fetlock. The vet came out on friday to give her a checkup and said that it's looking fine, there is slight swelling but that will go with exercise, i just need to get her back into work. The pain doesn't stop but it does help to stretch it after, but as soon as i place it back in the stirrup the pain comes back. It hurts a lot less in sitting trot, walk and canter, but there is still slight pain there. x

They have an onsite instructor, but she has just given birth and i am a fan of natural horsemanship and some of there techniques are different to ones i approve of. I would move but this yard is only a 10 minute drive away and has perfect facilities.My parents are not sure what to do atm. xx

The yard i am at doesn't allow any instructors coming there to help with our horses. And no my parents aren't i have been riding for 8 years and my friend who is at the same yard said she would help me out and she is very experienced but with different horses. xx
