I had never seen Alison H as I don’t watch daytime tv. She had so much negative imput of being noisy and having a raucous laugh.
The first time I saw her was in Bake Off where again before the programme there was so much negativity of people saying they would no longer watch the programme. I...
Lovely photo of your beautiful pup Chippers. I have just read the whole thread, lots of helpful advice and some very unhelpful!
It is so easy to be judgemental but it makes a huge difference how life was like at the breeders. Our youngest is a whippet who arrived at 9 weeks and absolutely knew...
SaddleP, back in the day, it was always get back on and carry on, especially if you were in a team.
I suppose the most famous case was The Princess Royal, ( Princess Anne at the time) falling at the notorious 3rd fence in Russia. She was reunited and jumped round but had no recollection afterwards!
There is always the exception to the rule poiuytrewq! Hopefully most Labradors have easy temperaments.
My first dogs after marriage were whippets but I haven’t had one for some years now. My granddaughter now has one and she is quite an outward going scamp in comparison to the very easy and...
My Son in Law’s Aunt worked as a groom for Lorna Clark. I don’t know if it was when she rode 3 at Badminton although I remember her doing so. I think the story has been a little enhanced as it would have been completely impossible to manage on your own, coming in from the steeplechase before xc...
Well we had a whippet and a lurcher when my daughter was born and they were both absolutely fine with her. We bred a litter when she was three!
My granddaughter had her first whippet of her own last year at the age of 12, so Winnie the Whippet is just a year old. She would be absolutely fine...
Well, that was Spring yesterday here. Fantastic warm sunshine all day. I mowed everything in sight as our forecast doesn’t show another completely dry day in the foreseeable future.
Having said that, it hasn’t rained overnight and is dry but dull at the moment.
My Son in Law is a dairy farmer...
I don’t usually venture in here as it’s not me doing the riding these days, but my daughter, son in law and both granddaughters ride and compete on a regular basis.
For the next three days both granddaughters are competing at the Pony Club Area Spring Festival at Morris. Age 13 and 11, they...
So interested in this question as it seems on social media that people are forever bathing their dogs. Just never bath mine. We rarely encounter anything smelly they are likely to roll in. They go in the sea a lot and coming home they go in a stream that I feel cleans the salt off.
I do groom...
Really sad about this. We go back many years, travelling up from Hertfordshire. Little did I know at the time that we would eventually live in Scotland and my daughter and son in law would compete there. Such a fantastic venue. My granddaughter hopes to go this year. So sad it will be the last...
We use Equitex on a highly sensitive thoroughbred mare. She has one for her GP saddle and a dressage one for obviously her dressage saddle. Absolutely wonderful, have made a huge difference to her. Can’t remember how long they have been in use but definitely into their second year.
