Thank you everyone for your opinions/experiences, next step will be getting the saddler out to see if the Kontact lite will be suitable for my wide mare! I used to have an Impala Ideal saddle and loved that too, I just fancied the monoflap and lightness of the Albion.
Thanks a lot,
Chloe
Has anyone any experience of this saddle? I'm considering buying one for my youngsters, both are wide types. I would be using it for XC and SJ-ing. I had a brief sit in one on a trade stand and I liked it but would like any opinions/experiences good or bad!
Thank you!
I know of an Irish dealer who resides in Ireland, he accompanied me to Goresbridge Sales and helped me through the possible pitfalls of buying at a sale and had an excellent eye for conformation, there were a couple that he stopped me from bidding on due to conformational faults I had not picked...
I used to be based in Cambridge and kept my horses at a yard not that far from Newmarket. It is called Frolic Farm and it is in Lode, the grazing is fantastic (groups of horses of own sex on 7-10 acre paddocks on fenlands soil which gives year round grass with not too much mud.) It is primarily...
Parkers all the way, I used to work for them and would def recommend them as the horses are generally well looked after. There are other transporters to avoid who I personally know journey the horses for far too long and do not water the horses regularly enough, I would rather transport my...
Hey Lucy tis me! what a coincidence, so funny! What a small world. Thanks for your compliments on Darcy and Rosie. Lexi is lovely as well though. I think most of the Lux Zs are showjumping more than eventing tbh. We will have to talk Irish breeding at the yard sometime! x
I have 2 3yos that I bought from Ireland and recently backed:
Rose Grey Gelding by Chillout (ISH stallion by Trak Abdullah) out of a Rantis Diamond mare
Brown small mare by Puissance out of a Cavalier Royale mare
The gelding has been an absolute doddle to break, I really cannot speak highly...
That is a great help thank you very much for that, I will take a look at the site. Will have to crack on with the 3yos if the standard is so high!
Thank you
My husband is in the army and its looking very likely we will be moving to Paderborn in Germany in April. I have two 3yos I intended to compete in the BE/BS 4yo classes in 2012, do they have equivalent classes in Germany? What are the names of the BE/BS German equivalent associations? I cant...
I had a similar thing happen with a 3yo I bought at Goresbridge Sales this September. About a week after he arrived he went off his food and had a temp (no snots or cough), the vet came out and prescribed him Danilon and Norodine. His temp went back to normal after 24 hours. Two weeks later he...
Hi,
I managed to get some legal advice today and they believe I have a case and the next step to take is the small claims court so that is what I will be looking into now. More importantly now I know I have a lorry that is safe to carry my horses. It certainly is a lesson learnt and if/when I...
Hi,
Thanks for the replies, I did get a second opinion on whether the mechanic should have picked up the various issues with the brakes and until you start taking wheels off/stripping them down a lot of the problems cannot be picked up. For instance the damage on the disc on the rear wheel...
