    Trying to rehome

Maybe look at a breed specific rescue for a particular type? We'd be screwed, both of ours are entire and love every dog they ever meet so wouldn't be an issue, imo. I just think one of them isn't keen on very bouncy youngsters, so if ever we adopt, we'd need multiple meet ups.

best coat to keep spaniel clean?

The difference in filth is insane if it's not actually raining and one dog is being lead walked due to splitting a pad, minor, but clearly sore, bless him. Teflon dog positively sparkling getting back in the car, filth meister only had muddy paws. Bliss!

best coat to keep spaniel clean?

True. Although mine aren’t thrilled with the hose. I generally leave them in coats to dry, although one has Teflon fur and is usually spotless within an hour. The other one gets the hairdryer which horrifies him.

best coat to keep spaniel clean?

On lead or off? I find mine go through cover so would destroy a coat off lead. Onlead, they have these, found on Vinted or Amazon-returns, but in brand new condition. https://www.amazon.co.uk/lovelonglong-Waterproof-Lightweight-Reflective-Snow-Proof/dp/B082NPSPBG?th=1 I also have ex army...

    Is this true?

Wrote our wills a couple of years ago and were told to write a letter of wishes to include the dogs. Dogs’ Trust do a card leaving the dogs to them, but of course you’d need to ensure that this was obvious (tell the executor/leave it on the fridge, although not everyone will see this or act on...

    Puppy Food

I suggest a different breed of dog, possibly a Yorkshire terrier. I keep suggesting this to my OH whenever he voices a whinge about the energy levels. If you want convenience (you say Pets at Home so local place?), then why not go online? I would-obviously-recommend raw, which most dogs seem...

    Meet my puppy

Ha, joking, of course. I’m all for one syllable names for ease of teaching recall, hence Mitch is not Maverick. How about Bunny/Bun, ties in with the bread/food theme?

    Sore Roxie Dog

So hopefully no surgery? That would be amazing!

    Sore Roxie Dog

This has been a consideration a couple of times for us. Crate rest and hope, or run to surgery with probably the same amount of time in the crate. It's why we agreed to the vet's suggested back to back surgeries 2 years ago. It lessened the total time in a crate. I can't advise, I have zero...

    Irresponsible Owners

Went to the same park this morning as yesterday but was appalled at the amount of 💩 that hasn’t been picked up since then, at the entrance, middle of the path, up the lane to the road, on the path through the wooded section. Just pick it up! It’s not hard! We picked up the various lumps by the...

Does anyone NOT feed their dog grain free?

Been through all sorts over the years and was keen on less grain, but these 2 are ok on occasional biscuits/pizza crusts. Is Ivy an ex-racer? I can’t recall. I know one raw supplier produced green tripe for the nearby races back in the day. We feed mostly raw, 80:10:10 beef mix we asked the...

    Sore Roxie Dog

Can she be lifted to sit with you? I’d be devastated not to have puppy snuggles.

    Auto immune… cancer

This sounds very positive. Skin clearing and putting on weight is great! Is the lump a blocked salivary gland? Bear had this and the vet immediately said fatal cancer. Having just lost Zak, we were devastated. A week of ‘brufen (or equivalent) and it never reappeared. If it’s refilled, then...
