    First dressage comp

Thanks everyone, I'm really pleased with her. She's so very different to my old boy which I thinks helps as I can't compare them. It's allowing me to go in a different direction. She certainly won't make an advanced endurance horse, but hopefully we'll get jumping soon and have a play at everything

Shetland vs section A lead rein

I have a young sec a, whch was my daughters LR pony till he threw her off and shot her confidence. I then spent a year riding the pony who is now a lot bette and has started again as LR pony still wouldn't take him to fun rides etc. I bought a Shetland, who is older and narrower. She is fab and...

    First dressage comp

She's a 6 yr old ISH by Glosters Clovers Dream. She's been fab so far (she has big boots to fill). I've since bought a spare pair of gloves and put them in the glove box!

    First dressage comp

On Monday I put my brave pants on and ventured to our first comp. I've had her 10 weeks now. Things didn't quite go smoothly. We arrived in plenty of time only for it to lash it down the whole time we were there and I forgot my gloves luckily it was unaffiliated and I just got a telling off...

    White Jods

I ventured into white breeches recently, and got a super pair Montar bamboo breeches. They do not show pants and hold everything in!

    Colours for new horse

I have her full breeding, she is 3/4 ID 1/4 TB. Glosters Clover breeding. No idea about genetics and colouring, I believe the white in the tail is due to Rabicano, but her high amount of white on the face may be due to sabino? But I'm sure there are many far more knowledgeable people than me who...

    Colours for new horse

No IDXTB. High hands is what I've been using after letting her settle. Instructor feels she's been held a lot. When she's tense hardly touching the reins brings her btv. Thursdaynext this was my only photo

    Horsey antihistamines - help!

My little section a is like this almost unrideable in summer. Towards the end of last season I began to be able to manage it with a hood on in the field. Nose net and ear bonnet when ridden along with vaseline around the nostrils and piriton before riding

    Colours for new horse

Thanks everyone. I'd wondered about burgundy. But wasn't sure if it would clash. I've always thought burgundy and gold looks very smart

    The saddle company fitter

    Colours for new horse

Sorry, I didn't think to include that this was taken in the first 3 minutes of warming up; this is Pepper's automatic way of going and she requires working in before she will stretch into the contact; that this is the 10th time riding her so I'm still used getting used to her buttons (very...

    Colours for new horse

Here's my new girl Pepper, who I 'need' to go shopping for as only one of Clip's saddle cloths suit her, the rest being purples, pinks (truly awful) and red Not sure if I've embedded this correctly So what colours could I put on her?

Old Rice style trailer refurb - paint??

I had a rice trailer, I used normal house paint on the outside over a primer and then covered with yacht varnish, started peeling after 2 years, so not bad going, inside I used outside shed paint

    Jumping Arabs?

I do loads of stuff on my boy; we were late to jumping and dressage as did endurance (to advanced level) before children. But he's done side saddle; gymkhana; unaffiliated dressage (only prelim); unaffiliated sj upto 2ft9; unaffiliated ODE at 80cm. He's only 14.3.
