Try some extra laundry detergent. I have this problem when my husband is a bit tight with the laundry liquid! Some detergents are better than others. If using more doesn't help, then try a different brand.

This can go round the back to protect the chin too. Or make your own!
I had a big 3/4 TB mare with cushings. She also lost a huge amount of muscle mass and looked quite horrific. The one thing that I found that made a huge difference was 200g daily of hipro soya meal. It's a stuff I hate feeding or recommending but it really did work.
I don't know if this will help or not but I had a horse that seemed to have residual damage of some sort following some major dental work and sinusitis. She couldn't cope with cold or wind. It really did seem to give her a lot of pain. I managed to give her relief by her wearing a snuggy hood...
What sort of permanent arrangements (ie electric and not gas canister operated) do people have for hot water washing of horses? What do you have, how is it maintained and how do you prevent frost being a problem?
Thanks!
The hay hutch would blow away (I can barely stand sometimes and a lady smaller than me was blown over - there will be several occasions over winter with gusts up to 100mph!!) and u can't put big bales in them.
I'm feeding large round bales of hay in a sheep feeder but it is a VERY windy location and so much hay is blowing away. I know the whole bale nets would stop it blowing away but they all seem to have tiny holes and I don't want to restrict their intake at all. Any other ideas I have missed...
If you have plenty of grazing you may want to consider offering a full grass livery arrangement as this is something that is lacking in the area and many horses need to live out for various reasons. Most yards seem to think if you want your horse on grass livery you don't think it needs looked...
I have tried ebay - only one that is much older than mine! People just don't seem to sell them once they have them and I most certainly wouldn't if my new horse wasn't such an enormous heifer!! Sigh! It's not and Ifor. That would be easy - there are loads on the market!!
THIS IS NOT AN ADVERT!!
I'm hoping to sell my trailer but have no idea what it is worth and I can't find many adverts to base it on as they don't seem to come up very often. Is there a depreciation rule per year type thing at all? Or is it a stab in the dark and see if anyone pays the asking...
I don't know your story but if you are happy to send your horse away for 18 months on grass livery what about considering Rockley for rehabilitation? Obviously it may not be suitable but worth talking to Nic to see if there is any hope.
