Can anyone help campaign to get this new bridleway opened?

See the second post down https://www.facebook.com/seaba.stockport?fref=ts Stockport council want to stop the new bridleway which is a real shame as ... The reasons we as horse-riders have asked for it are:- - to avoid using the road which is slippery tarmac, and too narrow for cars...

My overweight Cob - 560 kilo to 430 kilo, progress in a year pics

*Update* now working on getting him lean as possible. At his original weight he hated cantering and would turn into a bucking bronco. He'll now canter round the entire jumping field several times, which is quite an achievement for him without any fuss :) Also building up his backend which is...

    Toyota hilux

I did a ton of research on which 4x4 to get and ending up with a Landrover Freelander, which spent more time in the garage than on the road and was just so slow, after being used to high power diesel cars I missed the smoothness and speed. Ended up with the Nissan Xtrail, and at 140bhp it...

My overweight Cob - 560 kilo to 430 kilo, progress in a year pics

Hey guys, Thought i'd update this another year on, he's at a yard very close to home now so lunged and ridden everynight, even in the dark throughout winter in floodlit menarge. His diet consists of Topspec Antilam and Topchop Lite and brought in at night to a tricklenet full of hay, turned...

    Waterford Fullcheek - what next???

*update* he loves the Kimblewick, really mild in his mouth I guess VS the waterford as simply a thick straight bar, even has a port for his cob tongue! So when riding him, giving him plenty of rein and gently turning etc it must feel great. In the menarge he's cornering more smoothly with a...

    Waterford Fullcheek - what next???

Thanks :) I'm going to use the bottom rein position out hacking until i'm happy. Then eventually i'll switch to the top slot. Also the pelham has quite a leverage fulcrum with the longer shanks so I think the kimblewick should be a lot milder. I may even go for a leather curb once I see how...

    Waterford Fullcheek - what next???

Morning guys, borrowed a french link pelham last night, and he went a lot lighter/smoother than his full cheek waterford, the bottom curb rein stopped him well with gentle pressure. But it was dark so I was only in the menarge. I've been doing loads more reading since, and going to also borrow...

    Waterford Fullcheek - what next???

He's definitely not become dead to it, he hacks out perfect in company, usually perfect on solo hacks, but does try it on now and again. He has great brakes and steering usually :)

    Waterford Fullcheek - what next???

My thinking on this bit was, long shanks will have a similar steering effect to the full cheek waterford. Brakes provided by the curb action with softer mullen mouth, as opposed to the previous waterford. Bottom rein only used when needed. Or any other Pelhams worth looking at instead?
