I always thought she was thin (she's the runt) but after having friends over for xmas they all commented on how skinny she is! I cant remember what food she's on, ill double check tomorrow.

As i said We have lots of experienced help and have been following their advice from day one with no problems.
It is not the aids of lunging she doesn't understand, she understands that completely, it is the circling, we normally lunge in squares.

As far as lunging is concerned she understands the aids for walk and trot but we have only done a handful of times. Although every time we have done it she understands.

We are working on the lunging thing but she doesn't quite get the concept of it at the moment, also we have been working her in the yard and on the track not in the school and she isn't 100% happy...

We've been backing Bodi for about a month now, started very slowly by leaning over etc, now i can happily get on from the ground no fuss and walk around however this is all on the lead rein...
We had 2 labs and were as you described ... active while walking but happy to lie about all day, we've just recently got a cocker and she is much more active and needs walked alot more than the labs!

We had our old lab Rosie pts last friday, she was 15 this year and she had just had enough, sparkle had gone from her eyes and she just wasn't as bright anymore, it was so so awful but for the best :(
