i had the same problem last year. i invested in a pair of side reins and a roller and dill some lunging every other day just walk and trot with the side reins loose between his legs encouraging the horse to use their backs and stretch. i found it helped my boy.
good luck
was with steven smith hu has been irelands leading event rider for 15 years and now with joseph murphy who was selected for the olympics but his horse did a susensory 2 days before the final prep run.
i have nice 7yearold that came from william fox pitt hu i event and i have showjumped ponies 2 grade a and evented succesfully but all horses i get from work are for sale so after a few decent results there. so if i can get my own owners and rides i can keep them without having to worry about...
it all depends on what he is doing. i had a tb who was stamped loss of use on the race track but was then evented and i did the junior europeans on him 2 years ago and sold him for a large amount of money.
just working hunter. he needs more condition over all and general tidy up. he would make a nice ridden class which is more judges on how ridable they are rather than looks but are still important or if u really fill him out he would make a brilliant middle or heavy weight. hope that helps
