Has anyone used the Cotswold Sports tongue saver bit?

Just been looking at the CotswoldSport bits, in particular the tongue saver hanging cheek snaffle. I really want to try a hanging cheek bit and the shape of this looks perfect as it's similar to the verbindend which gives my horse more tongue relief. Just wondered if anyone had tried one?

Anyone who has experience of ulcers... Help needed

Has to have haylage as he tends not to eat hay and thus doesn't get enough forage. GG was being given like a wormer but was making him so stressed he now has it on a tiny (and I mean TINY) bit of feed on a morning. He was eating this fine until yesterday and is now refusing it

Anyone who has experience of ulcers... Help needed

Posting on behalf of a friend whose horse (23yo TB) was scoped for ulcers approx 4 weeks ago. He was found to have grade 2 and 3 ulcers and has been put on a course of Gastrogard. Since being on the Gastrogard he has become increasingly picky with food and is flatly refusing to eat a lot of...

    Question about sports boots/ wraps

Do people tend to use them more for flat work? Would they overheat the legs anymore than a neoprene based brushing boot?

    Question about sports boots/ wraps

Keep seeing various brands of sports boots like these premier equine ones: http://www.premierequine.co.uk/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=12201054 Just wondered what types of things people actually use them for and whether they're any good? Sorry if this is a really dumb question! X

Ingenious ways of getting a horse to eat antibiotics?!

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get a very fussy eater to eat antibiotics. Tried putting them in really mushy calm and condition with some cool mix but wouldn't eat them. Added apple juice to make it sweeter but that made it worse. Syringing them = extremely stressful. Any ideas?!
