I saw this a few weeks ago, its so lovely! We got a 68.98% 5th place with 8's for our stretches which I thought was quite nice because she was not super consistent in them due to distraction (well, no llama moments- she was stretched but a bit up and down). We had very little time to warm up...

I'm terrible with my fingers! She doesn't pull, I just need to tape them shut haha

It's really only her stretching she has completely down at the moment, canter is hard to contain and walk can be joggy when she has her poll higher, plus it's her first time out so I have no idea how she will react.

Great, she loves her stretching. Would you reward a horse that is stretching so much as in the pictures though? Because I see a lot of people criticising stretching like this saying it puts them on the forehand too much, which it does if not ridden properly, but generally she's very light, in a...

She does seek the contact really well and keep it even when she's all the way down, we have little moments where it goes a bit loose but generally she's quite good in it (and not leaning). She was draw-reined before me and still has that tendency to curl up a bit so I've been letting her back...

I agree with you and I imagine Will would too. He doesn't say a horse must only be stretched, he is always saying that once the horse is taught how to stretch into and seek the contact, then you should start bringing the poll up. He is based in San Diego.

Sounds like she was an amazing horse! Mine isn't at all spooky but she is really sensitive about the way she is ridden and finding a saddle she was happy with was a whole other story! She's just like a gelding on the ground, super dorky and cuddly, everyone thinks she's a gelding when they meet...
