We walk at 6 am and they are keen to get out but my oldest (only 6 so still not "old") would happily pee, poop, then go straight back into the house for his breakfast....he has been known to just turn and run home up the field wee monster!!!! lol but in the afternoon he takes no persuasion to...
Mine had cow trachea for the first time this Morning! Lasted them ages and tired them right out!!! They also like things like pigs ears, chicken feet etc
I do a mix of DIY and Nature's menu. nature's menu are about £3.50 per bag ( about a day's worth) and I wouldn't even like to know what I spend on the rest - wings, ribs, minces, tripe, fish, necks etc etc
Thank you. They get two meals a day so I was thinking one meal raw and one kibble? That would still cut costs. They love wings, ribs etc so I would like them to still get them now and then. I can get a bag of wings for £1.50-£2 so they aren't too much of a financial burden lol
my two whippets are raw fed and I am always telling everyone about the benefits of raw feeding and the condition in the dogs is wonderful. No doubt about it though it is expensive. Now that I am on my own paying for a house etc etc single handedly I am having to look at finances and I could...
Ah whippets. A breed I would never ever have considered...then quite by chance I wound up with my little boy....then my little girl followed and I don't think I would stray from them as a breed. Friendly, gentle, affectionate, entertaining. They are a delight. Mine are allowed on the sofa...
I don't know how to upload pictures!! But if you go on my instagram - jenny_jack21 there are some pics on there! They are wonderful. I just couldn't be without them!
Oh no....don't get me started on whippets.....not a breed I would ever have even considered until I rescued my little blue boy.....I now have 2 and always on the lookout for a third...both "rescued" and just the most gentle, sweet naturede little beasts....I am so used to their quiet nature that...

I am considering re homing a whippetxbedlington (3 years old) current owner says he has itchy skin. vet has ruled out mange, fleas etc and has put it down to excema which current owner treats with a spray. Does anyone have experience with Bedlingtons...are they prone to skin...
I have experience with an American Akita so very similar (though I do believe they are better natured than Japanese)
What can I say about the Akita in my life. I absolutely adore her! She is stunning, she is friendly, She is friends with my two whippets. ut would I ever get one....? Most...
I agree...I find 2 easier! When my little whippet boy ended up on his own I got a little bitch to keep him company and they get on great....I have always found all dogs, or a dog and bitch get on better than more than one bitch together but every dog is different!
