I use these whips and find them quite reliable. There is definitely a difference if I forget to take one. I also hold it out if there’s a stream of cars passing, as I find that after the first one they tend to get closer and closer.

Another one here. Had surgery in June. He stayed at the hospital for nearly a week. Hospital plate for the first 2 months changing dressing every two days initially, then twice a week. For the first week to ten days he needed to be sedated to change the dressing, he turned in to a fire breathing...
I have one of these. It’s useful for keeping extra distance between horse and vehicle and reminding people what they’re meant to do. Says “slow down” for traffic from the front and “pass wide” from behind.

Having been through the Dutch gag, Cheltenham gag, Waterford etc I ended up with a Myler combination bit. It applies pressure to the nose and gradually to the mouth. I think that there are various mouth styles to choose from, but it gave me some brakes.
Who would you recommend to back a horse? I like what I see on Sophie Seymour’s page but I’m based on the Herts/Essex boarder. Are there any people that you would recommend a little closer to me? Looking for next summer and happy for it to take as long as it takes.
Thank you
