    Livery needed: Sevenoaks Weald area

Hi all, I'm looking for livery for my horse just from the beginning of April until the end of October-ish! She is a very easy 15.2hh polo pony mare. I just need a field as she lives out 24/7, and is very well-behaved in the field, would prefer individual turnout (I'm an equine vet nurse and...

    Grass Livery - Kent/East Sussex

Hi Really hoping someone can help me...I'm looking for grass livery just for the summer, mid-April to mid-September, for my mare. Would consider DIY but I wouldn't actually need a stable as she lives out 24/7. She is a 22yr old semi-retired polo pony who is very easy to handle, I need...

    Padded Travelling Rug

Hi I'm looking for a padded travelling rug, the only one I can find on a google search is the Comfort Zone transit rug...does anyone know of any others? I like the look of the comfort zone one but it's expensive, has anyone got any reviews of it...good or bad? Or a second-hand one for sale...

    No longer a lurker!!!

My mare used to hate the clicking, I would agree with turning the fence off and just staying with him for a while. However, I've always been told that eletric fencing shouldn't click as it means it's short-circuiting somewhere so check it's not touching anything i.e. branch or something!!

Lunging my ex-racehorse - gadgets galore?!

I'm using the word 'gadget' in a loose 'tongue-in-cheek' way, think more of training aid. Therefore I am looking for an aid to help me train my horse, as someone else has mentioned, having only ever raced he is used to having his head as high as he likes and seeing his white face whilst I'm...

Lunging my ex-racehorse - gadgets galore?!

Been a while since I posted in here, I sold my eventer, went into polo and have now bought myself an ex-racehorse to retrain for polo and eventing then see which he prefers!! I am doing plenty of work with him long-reining and lunging to build up some muscle and wanted people's opinions on...

Activon manuka honey to treat leg wound...

The vet said the wound no longer required any bandaging or covering so it's just if I should because of putting the honey on it. The puncture is not really deep anymore as some internal healing has occured it is just a case of getting the surface to heal over now. Thanks.

Activon manuka honey to treat leg wound...

Hi I look after a polo pony who got injured in the field, either from kicking the post and rail down or the other pony kicking her. It resulted in a puncture wound just below the hock, it was x-rayed and treated by the vet who has now recommended we use manuka honey to aid healing. I have...

    Trainer help/advice/recommendations?

Anna is lovely but only has an outdoor school and when I went there it was completely flooded so may not be much better than yours at the moment :S How about Cindy Llewellyn in Heathfield, I think she's fab and would probably do evenings

Horses that don't like jumping indoors?!?!?!?!?

What is he like to do dressage in an indoor arena? Might be worth thinking about to get him out and a bit more used to being in a confined space, obviously jumping is different but it may help. Also instead of feeling like you have wasted comp. fees book into some indoor clinics so you can jump...

New horse. Sore in poll? What do you think?

Definately get him checked. My friend's mare had a sore poll and think the vet used H-wave therapy which seemed to work, is expensive but should only need one session. Worth getting sorted as it may turn into a ridden problem.
