"are you walking a tiger?" - brindle greyhound
"is that a whippet?" - 34kg greyhound bitch
"what breed are they?" - 3 greyhounds....
The standard you've got your hands full/your house must be huge/they must need loads of walking type. Nope, it's three greyhounds. My floor is strewn with dog...
One of our greyhounds went through a phase of refusing to get out of the car to go for walks. It passed as soon as it started.
Greyhounds really are funny little creatures
This is all super interesting. I really didn't feel it was a spay incontinence.
I think there's definitely some things to take forward.
She will wee and poo in the garden but she's not like the others who nip out, do and leg it back in. She's often just wandering around or doing her races ...
I hadn't considered that option. I don't think so. She sleeps in some pretty contorted positions and spends far more time racing around running her own races than the others do.
On a walk, you can be walking along and she will literally stop dead, squat and pee. No sniffing around, no...
Yes intermittently.
She stopped racing June/July 2021, came to us August 2021 straight from her trainer. We had her spayed once her medication finished as per vet advice
I have a 4 year old ex racing greyhound. Spayed last October at 3 after her racing career.
She has what we call "toddler bladder". She can sleep for hours, and hold her wee for hours but when she needs to go, she needs to go *now*. She won't wee just because she's gone outside like the other...
People listening to music via phone speakers in the arena drives me absolutely insane. Concentrate on riding!
I absolutely hate getting intermittent tinny blasts of their music.
My greyhounds go to the vet. One is a screamer.
At £8 a dog I see it as a worthwhile investment?
I take them every 6 weeks or so. We do walk miles though. We do a morning 5-6km walk plus another later walk most days
I've got three greyhounds, and one is big for a girl.
I'd really like -
Whippet
Italian greyhound
Manchester terrier
Standard poodle but not clipped into funny patterns, just clipped short all over
I've had 3 greyhounds (29kg, 30kg and 32kg) plus two terriers in a Dacia Duster. They are snug in there though.
They are more comfortable in my BMW X5, although I used to have them all in my Ford Focus estate!
I'm going to dressage at Vale View. Last time we went there we did the test in the right hand 15m of the arena as one side was too terrifying.
Aim this time is to use 18m of the arena ??
He's going so well at home and so relaxed, we are just going out loads to experiance other things and try...
