If it's any help - I use simple veg oil to keep hair silky, it's good for keeping mites, bots, etc at bay; plus a splash in a feed AND it's cheap!! :)

I'm about to have my grey mare freeze marked since a recent break in. I have heard that these marks can be "cut out"!!! Has anyone else heard of this? Also, since she had to have a bald mark, is it better on the shoulder or flank?
