i always wanted a horse and used to ride at a school, now looking for a horse but gathering as much information before i commit to one. any help anyone can offer would be gratefully recieved

farming in rural cumbria, fan of landrovers and bikes but want to move towards hacking out on horseback as you can go to many different places, and are not constantly getting chased for being in the wrong place with a vehicle. basically want to swop the vehicle for a horse.
