My 21yr old has got EOTRH. I do apologise that I cant remember the full name of the condition but it is shortened to this. He has had his lower incisors removed and could really do with the uppers removed but between the vet and I we have decided to keep them in as he seems perfectly happy for...
She'll be registered with the ISH and cross stamped with the Connemara Society. The Irish Sport Horse want two options which is easier said than done when you can barely think of one!
Before my brain explodes please could I have some ideas for a show name for my 15week yellow Dun/Buckskin Filly. Dam is Imeroo Lady - ISH and Sire is Dale Vardor - Connemara. Her stable name is Flora and it took me 2 weeks from her birth to come up with that! Passport papers being done tomorrow...
I have a 20yr old tbxwb. In December he was diagnosed with EOTRH and has had to have his incisor teeth removed so obviously he has no 'picking' teeth now. I feed him Allen and Page Veteran Vitality fully soaked and 2 cups of micronized linseed. He has handled the whole experience fantastically...
I have a Weimey who is 8 and thankfully very good with children as has been brought up with them but I do know she is a typical Weimey and would be absolutely devastated to be rehomed. Its bad enough going to the bathroom without her. This would be the most stressful situation I could ever put...
I feel your pain. I had the pony gassy colic last Saturday and my horse on the Tuesday. The pony had removed her muzzle so I know for a fact she would have gorged her heart out but it is very unlike William to do that. They had been on the paddock since the 10th April but they got colic just...
I am a freelance groom and also clip for a living. Firstly I understand you are not arguing the cost of a blanket clip but I have to say that is expensive. I am in Hertfordshire. If, and I hope it doesn't, ever happened to me I would be HUGELY apologetic and sort out the clip at no extra cost.
A good friend of mine had a terrible time with her mare until a vet suggested facing her backwards ( so she basically looks out the back ) with no partition. I have no idea why or how it works but it does and she hasn't had a problem since apart from some very strange looks
I am currently in the process of doing this at work. I have the original creosote that we bought from Ernest Doe. They sell it to trade which i'm not but I am in there a lot.
I have recently done my own stables with the fake creosote which is called Creoseal or something. Its not to bad and...
Well I suppose all horses are different and what suits one wont suit another. Without over analizing it, I feed Fast Fibre and Brewers Yeast to my horse and it has been a turning point. He was always difficult to keep weight on but can also be a stress head and can be pretty intolerant to to...
Watching the video of the GS I could see what was going to happen a mile off. That was body language I understand, however, not that I would ever shove my ugly mug into an unknown dogs face, infact not even my own. I have to admit that I cant read the body language as well on the first video. To...
Can you pop the headcollar on over the stable door? That would help and also you can put a chain link across the doorway so when you open the door the chain is still across. They are short term solutions whilst you teach him to move back and wait when you enter the stable.
